Our founder, Ivy, started Pop Dancers Club in her middle school; her club participated in several school-wide performances and had a strong conviction that they would get better and discover additional chances. Unexpectedly, tragedy befell her team when they had just set the goal–Ivy was graduating.

Upon realizing that graduating meant dismissing, Ivy had a notion to start her dance group and make it a continuing organization, members are still eligible to participate even if members progress to higher education.

Later, on July 23, 2017, Pop Dancers League was founded to bring together dancers in the community. Ivy revised the organization to include more creative and informative articles and videos on dancing topics to inspire and introduce pop dancing after recognizing that the accessibility of dance materials is highly dependent on the urbanization of the area.

Ivy recognized that the pop dance industry and population are the largest and most developed in English-speaking nations and Asia. By using two languages, English and Chinese, in all of our content, Pop Dancers League is hoping to connect with more dancers and hear more stories and needs.

In addition to providing a global dance platform for everyone to express their talents, we are constantly creating and gathering free dance resources, services, and opportunities that can aid in technique development and performance preparation for both solo dancers and group dancers. Now in Pop Dancers League, the word "community" means more than just local neighborhoods, but to countries and timezones across the globe.
